If he can spend money when he's with his friends, but not with you then he's not worth the effort of figuring out what his deal is. Move on and find a real man who is interested in making you happy for a change!

People meet lots of people. They find some of those people to be suitable romantic partners. They use their social skills and social capital, as well as other attractive traits to endeavor to make that happen. Sometimes it fails, sometimes it succeeds and two people feel similarly. Then they use their various skills to attempt to build a relationship --- usually unsuccessfully if it's their first, btw, but eventually you get it right with someone.

You should transfer. Do it. Just do it, because it sounds like you are in pain.

What actions show respect? How do you measure respect? I think wanting respect is fine, as long as you are going to give the same mutual respect---that's all lovely---but what actions are disrespectful, in your eyes? Listing concretes helps us suss out our own views sometimes. I don't think you'll find anyone who doesn't want respect.

If this sounds like too much work, that's fine. If so, then the site owner's default guideline controls. Discuss the current topic and the past is irrelevant and shall not be discussed.

Last thing I want to do is hurt her.

omg woof! How did this get through?

Most people work this issue out, but it can take time. Think of it this way, the longer you're out of college the more you'll be used to new ways of meeting people, even if it seems harder at first. Also, I think a lot of times college friendships are based on proximity and people don't have to make a ton of effort to interact; in the "real world," people tend to be more selective, so you'll be more likely to sustain friendships once you find them.

I think that's the true indicator that OP was DTF. I don't blame her for not defending him tho, bc if he has little value for her, why should she? She should probably let him go tho in that case (unless he's ok with a secondary role like that).

She's pretty and all, but this chick seriously has to clean her room.
