Now she knows of my thoughts on things - I have in the past posted about her wanting to keep in touch with old boyfriends and the trials of all of that - but today she started sprouting about how drug use is OK (there was an anti-marjuana advert on and she all 'oh bull***t, its all fine' preaching ). I hate drugs, even dope, and in honesty I lost a fair bit of respect for her when she sprouted about it. Hell, I dont even like watching people get drunk. I just dont see any sense in it. I looked at her and thought to myself 'how intelligent are you? I mean seriously? Are you THAT dopey you cannot see what it is?'.

Thanks for all the input so far - and so fast. I definitely am not in the position to get hurt yet...so I'm not concerned about that. Honestly, I'm a scientist, so I just like learning about how things work/happen - interactions with people are no different than understanding a chemical reaction or a Pavlovian response. People on this forum seem pretty darn insightful, so I figured why not put myself out there, learn from some experts, and hopefully help myself at the same time - it's an intersting way to spend time on a snowy, rainy, gloomy afternoon.

Your story is why I always opine that time reveals all truths. For some, it's a pleasant progression; for others, a shocking revelation. Each path is different. When they match up, then a healthy relationship can occur. Sorry yours didn't work out.
