That's the price you pay for being in a LDR. They really require MORE trust than any "normal" relationship...bc there are things that you don't have when you are in a LDR. For example, you can look in their eyes, look at their body language, to see if they are lying or not.

But I'm definitely not shooting down the benefits of excitement and anticipation. Passion and attraction are vital to a relationship IMO. My only advice OP would be to remain objective as possible. Also, I'd recommend cutting way back on the texting. If she sends you a text, call her back instead. Chat for 5-10 mins, and plan a date. If she texts in the mean time, stop responding instantly, exchange 2-3 texts spread out over the day, and tell her you'll see her soon. By training a woman that you won't text with her non stop, and planning more dates instead, you actually build a relationship instead of a 'phone-ship".

When I got back from vacation my co-worker was ice and ice cold towards me (verbally and in terms of body language: crossed arms, etc...) and since I had started liking her quit a bit by now and was already feeling pretty badly because of the decision I had made I basically crumbled and spend the rest of the workweek being nervous and quiet. My co-worker also became very nervous and quiet around me. That weekend I broke up with my girlfriend and the next week I told my co-worker about it when we were assigned to work together in the same office room. She immediately told me she was having similar troubles with her boyfriend (and in later conversations it really sounded similar to my own experience) and we spent the day like we were completely comfortable around each other again. Then the next day her nervousness and negative body language were back, she really seemed to be avoiding me.

Yeah - my opinion of interpersonal humor is that a joke isn't funny if it excludes someone in the group. If it's at that person's expense, then it's not funny - certainly not to them, at least.
