Honestly, If i was dating a girl that wasnt interested in me the way i was interested in her, I would be appreciative if she told me straight up...It would save alot of time and energy...And I know from personal experience, if he likes you alot, everyday that passes he'll like you more. It will only get more hurtful to him if you let it go on. Now the thing about telling him about how you feel about his friend...thats a tough one... My personal feeling on it would depend on how much the guy that likes you likes you. If he cares about you enough that he just wants you to be happy, then telling him would upset him, but the honesty and the fact that you would be happy would be enough for him to be happy.
