There is a new woman working at the restaurant where I work. Instantly, I was attracted. I sense that she is attracted, too but I also sense that she has/had/will have many lovers. She's just a very sexual person. And I think, without my intending to, I give off the vibe of "You are so sexy. I would totally be into you. Just you.".

I went speed dating for the first time last weekend. I'm 35 and have often contemplated speed dating but never did it until now. I had high hopes for it as previously I'd gotten fed up of all the time wasting that tends to happen with online dating. I'm happy to describe my experience for what it's worth. I'm also in the UK (London), and used Dateinadash.com. I should add that I went more to explore the world of dating and socialise, than with any serious intention of meeting someone, as I'm still fresh out of a breakup.

When you go out to meet people....stop inviting her! Go it alone.... Oh and also you can start up conversations with guys you aren't interested in then when she takes over, you walk away and go to the guy you are really interested in! Lol.... I had a friend just like her...

Now here's the hard part. Whether or not he gets it together too is not going to be in your control. He did finally speak up, but he'll need to make an important change as well - to know that when he's troubled, he should tell you and find a solution together. That's a trust issue, on his part. It's helpful that your response to his outburst has been so positive - that may help him to be more straightforward in the future. But it's also up to him. All you can do is be the partner you want to be. And I think you're already working on that.

Nothing like telegraphing your loose morals by acting them out in public...like at a wedding. People who saw it will talk about it with relish for the rest of their lives and probably feel nothing but pity for the OP.

Shutting down is something a child does in the hopes his tantrum manipulates your mindset. Don’t engage. NEVER reward this behavior. Life is too short.

But.....do ask yourself what you are getting out of the relationship, and by all means ask for what you need. I did, and my bf gave back to me what I wanted. They are human, and not perfect! That works both ways, too.

I looking for someone I can grow spiritually with. I am a kind and sincere person. I believe a woman's place is in the kitchen. . . with her feet up, drinking a glass of wine, watching her husband.

Art, I'm sorry you had to go through the painful process of loving someone who is bi-polar. That's a tough one. As you know, manic depression and bi-polar diseases are much more difficult to control with medication than some other mental illnesses. Clinical depression is much more common, and luckily much easier to manage with simple SSRI meds. I know many people, including myself, who have clinical depression....many of them you would never know they have depression. Thank God for modern medication. I just hope that someday the stigma surrounding mental illness will go away, and that people will understand that it is not a character flaw, but a common disease...just as high blood pressure, diabetes and arthritis.
